Signing in
Kodik requires authentication: the AI panel is replaced entirely by a sign-in form until you log in. Once signed in, the session is stored automatically — you will not need to enter your credentials again on subsequent launches.
Sign-in methods
Section titled “Sign-in methods”Email and password
Section titled “Email and password”Enter your email address and password (at least 6 characters) and press the sign-in button.
If your email is not yet verified, the server will display a message asking you to confirm it — follow the link in the verification email and try again.
OAuth (VK or Yandex)
Section titled “OAuth (VK or Yandex)”Kodik supports sign-in via VKontakte and Yandex. Click the relevant button — a browser window opens with the provider’s authorization page. After you approve access, you can close the browser: Kodik polls in the background and completes the sign-in automatically.
Creating an account
Section titled “Creating an account”If you do not have an account yet, sign up at: vibekodik.ru/signup. No credit card is required.
Account button
Section titled “Account button”The account slot stays at the top of the Kodik Settings sidebar while Kodik checks your session, so the navigation does not move when account status arrives. While signed out it shows Sign In; select it to open Chat, focus the email field, and continue with the login form.
After signing in, that slot becomes the Account button. You can use it to view the current account or sign out. The account card remains available while a saved session token exists, even if Kodik cannot load profile details from the current backend.
To sign out without opening Settings, open the Command Palette and run Kodik: Sign Out.
Re-authentication
Section titled “Re-authentication”If the session expires or the server returns a 401 error, the sign-in form reappears. Enter your credentials again or use OAuth — your conversation history is preserved.
